The Museum is  honoured to be the recipient of the UNAA (WA) Human Rights Award for 2018, for our work to promote and raise awareness of the importance of a strong international human rights framework in the Western Australian community.  We take a creative, arts based approach to conversations about human rights, and seek to amplify the voices of those marginalised by systemic racial and religious discrimination in the interests of a more inclusive national conversation.

The award, presented on United Nations Day, 26 October 2018,  recognises individuals or groups who have demonstrated excellence in promoting or raising awareness of human rights, addressing situations of violation of human rights, and/or demonstrating support and upholding human rights.
