Google Arts and Culture

In 2020, the Museum launched it’s debut Google Arts and Culture Collection. The collection includes 20 unique stories and more than 250 items.

Our collection gives prominence to voices and stories by and for First Nations and multicultural communities, centralising them, increasing representation, and challenging norms in relation to what it means and looks like to be an Australian today.

The collection is underpinned by the values of Joy, Hope, Belonging, Freedom, Equality and Dignity. Through these stories, we invite our audience to consider and question their own relationship to these values, and responsibility to uphold them on behalf of others.
